Indian Maritime University (IMU) has officially released the notification and started the online registration process for the Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) 2026. This entrance exam is the gateway for admission into various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and research programmes for the academic session 2026-27 across IMU campuses and its affiliated institutes.Programmes covered under IMU CET include B.Tech (Marine Engineering), B.Sc (Nautical Science), DNS (Diploma in Nautical Science), M.Tech, and MBA maritime courses. Admission to these pre-sea courses is mandatory through IMU CET as per DG Shipping guidelines.

How To Apply Online

  1. Visit the official website: www.imu.edu.in.

  2. Click on the "IMU CET 2026 Registration" link under the Admission section.

  3. Complete the Basic Registration by entering your name, mobile number, and email ID.

  4. Log in using the Application Number and Password sent to your email.

  5. Fill out the Detailed Application Form with academic details and choice of exam cities.

  6. Upload scanned copies of your Photograph, Signature, 10th/12th Marksheets, and Category Certificate (if applicable).

  7. Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.

  8. Submit the form and take a printout of the final application for future reference.
