UP Police SI Exam Date and OMR Notice

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB)

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially announced the written examination dates for the 4,543 Sub-Inspector (Daroga) and Platoon Commander vacancies. According to the latest official notification (Jan 2026), the exam will be conducted on 14 and 15 March 2026 in four shifts across various districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Importantly, the board has confirmed that the examination will be conducted in Offline Mode (OMR Based) rather than Online (CBT). Candidates will be required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet using a black or blue ballpoint pen. Approximately 16.5 lakh candidates are expected to appear for this highly competitive exam. Selection will be based on the Written Exam, followed by Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Medical Examination.

  • Minimum Age : 21 Years
  • Maximum Age : 28 Years
  • UP Police provides age relaxation for the Sub Inspector SI position as per their regulations.

  • Candidates must hold a Graduation (Bachelor’s) degree from a recognized university or institution in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
  • Important points : 
  • It is mandatory to upload the graduation mark sheet.
  • If the graduation degree (certificate) is not available, then the provisional graduation degree must be uploaded.
  • If the provisional graduation degree is also not available, the candidate should upload their mark sheets in its place.
  • During document verification and physical standard test, it will be mandatory for the candidates to present the original graduation degree (certificate) along with the graduation mark sheets.
  • Preference Qualification (Not Mandatory) :
  • Passing the “O” Level Computer Examination conducted by NIELIT (formerly DOEACC) or an equivalent, recognized certification
  • A minimum of two years of service in the Territorial Army.
  • “B” certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

How To Download

  1. Visit the official website at uppbpb.gov.in.

  2. Look for the link "Notice/Link for UP Police SI Exam City Intimation/Admit Card".

  3. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (DOB).

  4. Your exam date, shift, and city will be displayed (City slip usually releases 10 days before the exam).

  5. Download and print the Color Admit Card at least 4 days before your exam date.

  6. Note: छात्रो से ये अनुरोध किया जाता है की वो अपनी परीक्षा की तैयारी OMR शीट पर प्रैक्टिस करके करें, क्योंकि परीक्षा पेन-पेपर मोड में होगी। परीक्षा केंद्र पर ऑरिजनल आधार कार्ड और दो पासपोर्ट फोटो ले जाना अनिवार्य है।
