Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the Notification for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2026. This notification (Advt. No. 05/2026) is the gateway to India's most prestigious services, including the IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ central services.For the 2026 cycle, UPSC has announced a total of 933 vacancies. The online application process is now live and will conclude on February 24, 2026. Aspiring candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the One Time Registration (OTR).

  • Indian Administrative Service (IAS): Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university in
  • India are eligible for this examination.
  • Indian Forest Service (IFS): Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in subjects like Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry,
  •  Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, or equivalent qualifications can apply.

  • OTR Registration: If you are a new user, complete the One Time Registration (OTR). If already registered, log in directly.

  • Fill Part-I: Enter your personal, educational, and contact details. Choose the exam center carefully.

  • Fill Part-II: Pay the application fee and upload scanned copies of your Photograph, Signature, and Photo ID Proof (as per prescribed size).

  • Final Submission: Agree to the declaration and submit your form. Download the Confirmation Page for future reference.
